Does VMI help with permits?

Who is the authority having jurisdiction?

The AHJ is the state, county, city or other office legally responsible for reviewing and approving the project. The correct office depends on the actual property.

Are stamped drawings always required?

Requirements vary by jurisdiction and project. VMI confirms whether stamped drawings, calculations or other documents are required for the authority reviewing the project.

Does the building permit include the foundation?

Foundation scope and responsibility must be confirmed in writing. Building reactions and site conditions inform foundation engineering, but the foundation may be a separate scope.
